Yarning Strong aims to reach out and engage all young people – both Indigenous and non-Indigenous – and deepen their awareness and understanding of what it’s really like to be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person living in contemporary Australia.

Hunter River High School runs this program in consultation with our Cultural Team and our Focus on Reading Coordinator. The programs runs every two weeks on Friday Period 5 in the Cultural Room.
